Overview:

This is a 2 days budget tour in Tanzania. It takes visitors to visit two wonderful Northern Tanzania national parks, these are Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara National Park. You will spend one night at budget camp, at Mto wa Mbu, the village next to Lake Manyara . All the parks are home to several large and small animals including birds and reptiles. Accommodation is on full board arrangement at your campsite/lodge.

Detailed itinerary:

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Distance: 130km
Non – game viewing time : 3 – 4 hrs

After breakfast the tour departs. First stop is Arusha Town for any last minute purchases before we head off on safari. Afterwards we head towards the Tarangire National Park for a game drive with picnic lunch at the park. Tarangire is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the center of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest and 30,000 zebras. Dinner and overnight as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested.

Day 2: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

Non game-viewing travel time: 1 & 1 ½ hours
Distance: 60km & 130 km

After breakfast and with picnic lunch in hand, we transfer to the Lake Manyara National Park. We head into the Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. This national park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive, but shallow, soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park), located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions (rare), as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. After the game drive we travel back to Arusha where we will end our African safari adventure. The group should tip the tour guide around $20 a day for all our safaris. You will be taken to your hotel, which ends our safari packages services.
